With your folks in town, you can be sure that we wasted no time chasing the changing colors of the leaves. The best place to watch this breathtaking change without having to drive up to Vermont or Maine or New Hampshire is to go upstate. Being daughters of our fathers, what better place to admire the foliage than in West Point while watching the cadet review? I took some photos so you too can admire this country’s beautiful for spacious skies.
Here is littletwin-groucho chatting with Judd from Ohio
Posing by the generals’ houses
Here I am by Douglas MacArthur‘s immortal words.
And with a not too friendly guard.
Here’s a bunch of monuments and pretty houses.
And now the scenery…
Check out the hudson river snaking through. Majestic is all I can say.
Autumn’s main attraction
And finally a shot of the leaf chasers.
I think nature purposely shows off her beauty and splendor in the fall so its vivid images etched in our minds can keep us warm as we brave through the cold and grey winter.
